Notice regarding recalled 15-inch MacBook Pros

Latest update: 04 Oct 2019 10:30 HKT (GMT+8)

Apple has recently announced a recall of certain 15-inch MacBook Pro models with Retina display primarily sold between September 2015 and February 2017, citing defective batteries that could overheat and pose a fire safety risk.

We therefore request that passengers refrain from bringing any affected models onboard a Cathay Pacific or Cathay Dragon operated flight until the battery has been verified as safe or replaced by the manufacturer.

To check if this affects your device, please visit Apple's 15-inch MacBook Pro Battery Recall Program page and enter your serial number. You can also learn more about battery replacement options on that page.
